Mechanical Construction Manager
1. Project Planning and Coordination:
· Develop project plans and schedules, considering resource allocation, budget constraints, and project milestones.
· Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure smooth project execution.
· Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts to identify requirements and resolve any discrepancies.
2. Team Management:
· Recruit, train, and manage a team of mechanical engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
· Provide guidance and direction to the team, ensuring adherence to project plans, quality standards, and safety protocols.
· Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance team productivity and efficiency.
3. Construction Execution:
· Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
· Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
· Identify and resolve any technical issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction phase.
· Early identification of problems with resolution.
· Job sequencing, coordination in site mobilizations, laydown setups etc.
4. Budget and Cost Control:
· Monitor project costs, including labor, equipment, and materials, to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
· Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and functionality.
· Review and request for purchase requisitions related to construction consumables, tools and tackles, plant equipment’s, construction aids etc.
5. Quality Assurance and Safety:
· Implement quality control measures to meet project requirements and industry standards.
· Conduct regular inspections and tests to verify the performance and functionality of mechanical installations.
· Promote and enforce adherence to safety regulations and best practices, creating a culture of safety on the construction site.
6. Construction documents:
· Able to prepare construction documents like method statement, procedures, review project drawings, review project method statements, specifications, procedures, prepare/guide weld map preparation etc.
